Retool is an extruder control board that is powered and controlled with USB for placement on the tool head. It is designed to work with Recore, but should work well with just about any Single Board Computer (SBC) that is used with Klipper.
The tool board has one TMC2209 stepper motor driver, 3 fan outputs with tachometer feedback, a port for attaching a peltier element, one connector for a thermistor, two connectors for end stops, one port for an inductive sensor and one connector for connecting a string of Neopixels. The board also has a built in ADXL345 accelerometer for doing input shaping. There are indicator LEDs on all outputs, both on the front and back, so the front can be covered with a hat sink while still being able to show the output status. There is also a Type C USB controller chip mounted for proper power negotiation between the tool head and Resend A2, the companion voltage injection board. This is added as a future improvement, and has not been properly implemented in software. The Resend A2 board has the same chip (FUSB302B). The main MCU is an RP2040 and the board comes pre-flashed with Klipper.

It has a TMC2209 stepper driver, the same that is on the main board. This driver can be used for both S6 and S7 on Recore A6 and A5. For A5 use, it is necessary with a cable from this board down to one of the pins on S6/S7.
